This course is designed to offer educators insight into how students as young as Kindergarten are making choices that can affect their health and well-being in the future. Lifestyle choices and behaviors play a pivotal role in determining how long you may live. This course will focus on topics such as stress, diabetes, heart disease, cancers, obesity, high blood pressure, poor diet and lack of exercise, lack of sleep, etc. The class will provide strategies and interventions for even the youngest of children to help ward off these debilitating diseases, including but not limited to stress management techniques, a guide to healthy eating and sleeping and the recommended amount of exercise to ward off disease.
